Steadfast Standard Schnauzers is a small breeder committed to promoting the intelligence and bodacious attitude in these athletic and versatile dogs. We are dedicated to bringing forth their best qualities in the way we raise them as well as how we breed. Our dogs live in the house with us as family members and we steadily engage their minds in new activities. The homes we seek for our pups are those that are as enthusiastic as we are about providing an active and happy life for them.
We participate in the Canine Health Information Center (CHIC) Program and only breed dogs that have cleared all health requirements through OFA. Our 2020 litter is the result of a dynamic match between our Grand Champion Zoey (GCH CH Postem’s Zoey FDC BCAT CGC TKI) and Grand Champion Finn (BIS, BISS, GCHG CH Blackhawk Finnegan’s Wake RATN). Finn finished his 2014 show career as Number 1 Standard Schnauzer, Number 4 working dog, and Number 12 All-Breed in the country. Zoey is a direct line, immediate descendant of Pa (Ch Parsifal di Casa Netzer), the #1 Standard Schnauzer for 1994, 1995, 1996, and winner of Best in Show at Westminster 1997. Pa held the record for winning the most Best of Shows throughout the USA for the Standard Schnauzer, and Zoey is a gorgeous chip-off-the-old-block.
We expect to have Show puppies as well as Companion puppies available in this litter. Show or Companion, we believe that even if the show ring is not for you, all our puppies should be fully capable of competing in a variety of AKC sporting/skills events. Many puppies from our previous litter hold numerous titles in a variety of sporting/skills events, besides some being Champions and Grand Champions in the show ring. For example, various puppies from our kennel hold titles in FastCat, Dock Diving, Farm Dog, Canine Good Citizen, and Certified Therapy Dog, just to name a few . Form and Function is not just a slogan with us. You are not just getting a beautiful puppy from us. Through diligent breeding, we produce excellent, well rounded, fully capable working dogs, which is what a Standard Schnauzer is all about.
All puppies will come well socialized, vaccinated, wormed, microchipped, with tails docked and dewclaws removed, and registered with the AKC. All companion puppies are sold with Limited (pet) AKC Papers and are sold with a spay/neuter contract and Right of First Refusal terms. We will microchip every puppy and then register the microchip with the National Registry.
